The study of Graphite as lubricating oil additive was 

introduced in this paper. Based on the achievements of numerous researches reported up to date，this paper discussed synthetically the type of graphite served as lubricant additives，the graphite dispersion stability and factors that affect the lubrication effect.

 

 

Anti-friction material: In mechanical Industry, graphite is used as lubricating agent. Lubricating oil can not often be used in the condition of high-speed、high-temperature、high-pressure, without lubricating oil, anti-friction graphite material can used in high-speed sliding speed when it is at the temperature of 200-2000℃. Graphite-made piston cup、seal ring and bearing are widely used in lots of equipment which transports corrodent . When the equipment runs, it does not need to add lubricating oil. Graphite is also good lubricating agent for some metal processing (wire drawing、stay tube).
